Nothing unexpected happened in Tuesdays Democratic race. Hillary Clinton won in Kentucky, Barack Obama won in Oregon. Neither has enough delegates to win the parties nomination outright. Mathematically Clinton can't catch Obama's Delegate lead without severely bending the rules, and making a lot of folks in the party mad.
At this point I'm just waiting for two things...one to see what is done with the Florida and Michigan Delegates. And two,I'm waiting for the actual Democratic convention when the Superdelgates must actually cast their vote.
Until then, the rest is just fluff.

Kelly Trial Opens With Playing Of "The Tape"

Prosecution and Defense both fought to bar public viewing of the tape that allegedly shows R. Kelly engaging in sex with an underage girl. Within hours of the opening statements the tape was shown.
The highlight of Wednesday's testimony came from a former childhood friend of the alleged victim who said she knows her friends face like the back of her hand.
Simha Jamison, 24, said she not only recognized her friend but recalls visiting
Kelly at his recording studio and at a Chicago basketball court dozens of times starting when they were around the age of 12.
Jamison admitted she never saw any sexual contact between the alleged victim and Kelly.
Defense attorneys planned to cross-examine her later on Wednesday.
Jamison's father, Peter Thomas, also watched the tape and identified the victim. A retired investigator with the Cook County state's attorney's office, also testified that a room in a Chicago home once owned by the singer strongly resembles the distinctive room in the video.
Thomas claims to have visited Kelly's home in 2002.

Date Set For Snipes To Report To Prison
Unless Actor Wesley Snipes is granted bail he must report to prison on June 3rd. Snipes was sentenced to three years in prison for three federal tax convictions.
Snipes' attorneys plan to try to keep him out of jail on bail by arguing that the trial judge gave the jury bad instructions and should have granted them an expanded pretrial hearing on their request to move the proceedings.
Prosecutors feel Snipes is a flight risk and should not be set free.

No African American's On CSI

This one must have slipped right under my nose. I knew that this was the last week that Gary Dourdan will make an appearance as investigator Warrick Brown on CSI, but I didn't realize that May 5th was the last day for Khandi Alexander, who plays medical examiner, Alexx Woods on CSI: Miami.
According to TV Guide, Alexander's decision to leave does not reportedly involve a mutual deal with the network as she had some “issues” with certain aspects of the show.
Both Alexander and Dourdan have been with their respective shows since their inceptions. Now neither CSI nor CSI: Miami have any African-American regulars in their casts

Edwards Endorses Obama
Probably the biggest most prized endorsement available is going to Senator Barack Obama. Former Senator, and Democratic Presidential hopeful John Edwards will endorse Barack Obama at a Michigan campaign event about an hour from now.
Edwards has 19 pledged delegates. Those delegates are not required back Obama but it is expected that most of them will. Edwards will release his delegates and urge them to back Obama.
Right now according to CNN estimates Obama has a total of 1,884 delegates in order to seize the Democratic nomination a candidate has to be first to reach the magic number of 2,026.
Personally, I think a dream ticket would be Obama and Edwards. I really liked Edwards, I just liked Obama better. He also is very strong among working class white voters which is where Obama is weakest. His story is a great one where he has pulled himself up from a very humble background.

LeBron Curses At Mom
Evidently, basketball star LeBron James quickly forgot that just Sunday was Mother's Day when he cursed at his mother on national television during Monday night's game between the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Boston Celtics.
After James was very flagrantly fouled into the stands by Paul Pierce, the crowd reacted to the play off the court, James’ mother, Gloria, gave an earful to one of the Celtics from her courtside seat.
Then he did it. James told his MOTHER to "go sit her ass down!"
I'm still shaking my head on this one.

In court papers answering the Superior Court lawsuit filed by Sonja Norwood, mother of Ray J and Brandy Norwoood, the allegation of credit card fraud was denied by the Kardashians.
Kim, Khloe, Kourtney and Robert Jr, were named in the lawsuit by Norwood for running up more than $120,000 in unauthorized charges on her credit card.
Kim Kardashian had access to the American Express card when she worked as a stylist for Brandy. Norwood claims Kim gave the card number to her siblings, who also allegedly made unauthorized charges.
The Kardashians "deny generally and specifically each and every allegation," the papers say.

Clinton Wins W.Virginia

No big surprise here, Sen. Hillary Clinton won the West Virginia Primary. Even with a 2 to 1 lead, she still is trailing in both delegate counts.
Clinton is using her win, to bolster her argument to superdelegates that she will be the better candidate to take on John McCain in the general election.
W. Virginia had just 28 delegates at stake, and those will be awarded proportionately.

Barry Bonds Indicted
Barry Bonds was charged with 14 counts of lying to a grand jury and one count of obstruction of justice in a new indictment that was a result of the BALCO doping investigation.
The new indictment doesn't add any new alleged falsehoods, but is a re-worked of the original indictment in which the judge asked ordered government prosecutors to word the indictment so that each charge alleged only one lie rather than combining several alleged falsehoods into single counts.
Bonds originally was charged with four counts of perjury

What If Your Daughter Wanted To Wear This To Prom?

Marche Taylor, 17, was handcuffed and banned from her Senior Prom after showing up to the dance in what school officials called an "inappropriate dress." Taylor said after arguing with a school officials at Madison High School in S.E. Houston about receiving a refund, the police were called.
You can get a better view of the dress and hear Marche's side of the story in THIS CNN report.
Is this what our younger generation is wearing. WOW!! If she wears this to a school function, I can only imagine what she would wear to a teen-night out.

But Can He Act?
Dallas Cowboys football player, Terrell Owens, will make his sitcom acting debut on the MyNetworkTV show "Under One Roof" as the long-lost brother of the shows star, Flavor Flav.
Flavor Flav, and Terrell Owens brothers? OK somebody got the bad end of the gene pool in that deal. But OK it's television, a world where Nick Cannon and Mariah Carey get married and Jermaine Dupree and Janet Jackson live happily ever after. So I guess it can be done.
Owens says that even if the reviews are outstanding, he won't be giving up his day job any time soon, even if he is in the final year of his contract. But, he would definitely, consider it as a second career.
"This a great start to let me get my feet wet," Owens said. "For an actor trying to become an A-lister, I think I'm on the bottom of the pile. I'm a D-lister."
The show will be airing Wednesday, May 14, 2008.

Five pit bull mix puppies were taken from the rapper's home by an animal control unit.
After a search warrant was served about 3 a.m. Friday, officials said, deputies found weapons and drugs, leading to the drug charges.
This isn't his first brush with the law, last week he was arrested for going 114 mph on highway.

Dem. Race Continues Into W. Virginia

A silver lining for Hillary Clinton may be awaiting her as tomorrows Democratic race continues into West Virginia.Recent polls show Clinton ahead by more than a 40-point margin.
There are 28 delegates at state in tomorrows contest. Which will hardly make a slight dent in the substantial lead Obama has over Clinton.
Clinton insists that West Virginia, is a key state in the fight for the White House, and that no Democratic candidate since 1916 has gone on to win the White House without first winning West Virgina.
Clinton had a 43-percentage-point advantage over Obama in West Virginia, 66 percent to 23 percent, according to a survey from the American Research Group.
Clinton has vowed to stay in the race until someone gets enough delegates to clinch the nomination.

150 More Delegates To Go....

What a difference a day can make.
For the first time since the campaign began, Barack Obama has taken the lead among superdelegates.
So now as it stands Obama has won more elected delegates, more states, more votes and more Superdelegates, than Senator Clinton.
Right now as I write this (as the number is always going up) Obama has 281 superdelegates who have committed to cast their convention votes for him. That includes 23 since last Tuesday's elections, and 3 who switched their support from Senator Clinton.
There are 2,025 total delegates needed to capture the Democratic bid. There is just 150 delegates to go before Barack Obama clinches the nomination.

There are only 217 pledged delegates left in the remaining contests. Obama leads in the number of pledged delegates awarded from primaries and caucuses: 1,592 to Clinton's 1,424.

Al Sharpton Owes Big

Government records obtained by The Associated Press indicate that Sharpton and his business entities owe nearly $1.5 million in overdue taxes and associated penalties.
Sharpton's own debts include $365,558 owed in New York City income tax and $931,397 in unpaid federal income tax, according to a lien filed by the Internal Revenue Service last spring.
His for-profit company, Rev. Al Communications, owes the state another $175,962 in delinquent taxes.
Sharpton's lawyers and the staff of his nonprofit group, the National Action Network, dispute the size of the debt. They are currently in negotiations with the federal government.
Sharpton says U.S. government is trying to intimidate him.
"Whatever retaliation they do on me, we never stop," he said. "I think that that is why they try to intimidate us."
Rev. Al Sharpton has emerged over the past decade as perhaps the nation's most prominent civil rights leader.

Did OJ Confess To Murder?
A friend of O.J. Simpson, Mike Gilbert, claims that while under the influence of weed, a sleeping pill, and beer, OJ admitted to killing his ex-wife Nicole Brown. Gilbert is releasing a book today called "How I Helped O.J. Get Away With Murder: The Shocking Inside Story of Violence, Loyalty, Regret and Remorse."
Gilbert also claims he helped Simpson avoid the murder charges by telling him how to bloat his hands so they wouldn't fit in the infamous Isotoners gloves, according to the AP.
Simpson's lawyer will not allow him to comment but did say that all of Gilbert's claims are bogus and that he is "a delusional drug addict who needs money. He's fallen on very hard times. He is in trouble with the IRS."
